Day 2 Beijing (D)
Upon Arrival, our local operators will welcome you and take you to the hotel by air conditioned chartered coach. Time to relax and enjoy the capital city of China, Beijing.
Day 3 Beijing (B,L,D)
Tour the Temple of Heaven, one of the most photographed buildings in the world, and join locals in Tai Chi or simply enjoy the peace and harmony of the massive 270 hectare park. Visit the Capital Museum which houses almost 200,000 valuable artifacts unearthed in the Beijing Area. Optional Kung Fu Show available.
Day 4 Beijing (B,L,D)
Tour Tiananmen Square, the world's largest public square, capable of holding up to 1 million people. Many government and historical buildings surround the square. Next step through the "Gate of Heavenly Peace", under the famed portrait of Chairman Mao and enter the historical Forbidden City. With 9,999 rooms compose this palace in which 24 emperors ruled during the Ming and Qing dynasties for nearly 500 years. Take your time as you are led on an expansive tour by your extremely knowledgeable guide. After, enjoy an optional Oriental Foot Massage to relax you.
Day 5 Beijing (B, L, D)
Tour the magnificent Summer Palace which is mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake. In the Summer Palace, one finds a variety of places, gardens, and other classical-style architectural structures.
Also you will tour the traditional Hutong, which is the old alleyways and courtyard homes. Many still survive today and are pleasant to walk or bike through. You will also be taken into a traditional family for a cultural immersion-peek into the daily life of a typical Chinese family learn (and enjoy) the art of Chinese cooking. Your guide will explain the cultural and historic significance of various aspects.
Day 6 Beijing (B, L, D)
The Great Wall of China will dominate this tour day. You will marvel at the sheer size and grandeur at one the seven wonders of the world, take you time to explore the ‘Juyong Pass Great Wall’ to feel the magnificent landform. We will also visit the Olympic Summer Games venues; The National Stadium commonly referred to as 'Bird's Nest" and the National Aquatic Center, also known as "Water Cube". A special tour of a Jade Factory is included in the day's activities.
Day 7 Beijing (B,L,D)
We will be visiting panda in Beijing zoo and spend the afternoon shopping in the flea market. The Beijing Zoo is best known for its collection of rare animals endemic to China, and the Giant Pandas are zoo's most popular animals. Optional Beijing Opera available after dinner.
Day 8 Beijing (B)
Free day for you to relax and enjoy the capital city of China, Beijing.
Day 9 Beijing (B,L,D)
We will visit the Yonghe Temple which is one of the largest and most important Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the world. And spend the afternoon shopping in the Panjiayuan Antiques Market, secondhand goods, arts and crafts and antiquities are the main transactions in the market. Also on offer are old books and paintings, agate, jadeite, ceramics, ancient Chinese and foreign coins, bamboo and animal bone sculptures, leather puppets for shadow play and a wide range of Chinese opera masks. Buddhist relics, costumes of ethnic minorities, apparels, "Cultural Revolution" articles and daily necessities can also be found here. Which is truly a market packed with Chinese traditional culture.
Day 10 Beijing—Zhengzhou (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will transfer to Zhengzhou from Beijing. In the afternoon, tour one of the oldest museums in China Henan Museum, which own a collection of more than 130,000 pieces of cultural relics treasures, of which more than 5,000 pieces are treasures of the first and second grades.
Day 11 Zhengzhou—Luoyang (Bus) (B,L,D)
Tour the Shaolin Temple which was founded in the 5th century and became the Holy Ground of Kung Fu, to meditate in the ancient surroundings or to enjoy an ancient historical place that is by all means, off the beaten path. Then you will be transferred to Luoyang by bus to visit Longmen Grottoe, which contains the largest and most impressive collection of Chinese stone art with its picturesque scenery, tranquil and intangible environment, as well as the delightful climate.
Day 12 Luoyang—Sanmenxia (Bus); Sanmenxia—Xi’an (High speed railway) (B,L,D)
Tour to Sanmenxia to visit Chariot and Horse Burial Pit which give an amazing look at the warring states period in China and Cave Dwellings, one of the truly hidden treasures of China which are adapted to the natural conditions of Loess Plateau and generations of people have lived in them for over 300 years. You will be amazed at the size and comfort that can be provided in an underground dwelling. Then transfer to Xi’an by taking the high speed railway to experience the very high speed at 350km/hour.
Day 13 Xi'an
Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses will dominate this tour day which were discovered in 1974 by a local farmer, it is now considered the eighth wonder of the ancient world. With over 8000 life size warriors on display, it is truly a marvel to see for yourself. Every face is different on each of the 8000 warriors. Then, we’ll visit the Huaqing Hot Springs which is famous for both its dainty spring scenery and the romantic love story of Emperor Xuanzong and his concubine Yang Guifei in the Tang Dynasty.
Day 14 Xi'an (B,L,D)
Visit the Bell Tower, a symbol of Xi’an, which is built in the Ming Dynasty. Also see one of the oldest and most renowned mosques -- The Great Mosque. There will be a tour of the Ancient City Wall and a bicycle ride(Optional) on the wall. Another symbol of the old-line Xi’an, Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists will attract you as well. Tour the historical Shaanxi Provincial Museum in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy Banquet with Musical Show of Tang Dynasty.
Day 15 Xi’an—Beijing—Home City (International Flight) (B)
Transfer to the International Airport to board your flight back to your departure city bringing home a lifetime of memories.
